ItineraryWala ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: If you choose Google Sign-In, we receive the account identifier, name, email address, and profile-picture reference Google shares with the app. You can browse the public catalogue without signing in.
Usage and Content: We process app interactions, screens viewed, searches, saved or created itineraries, reviews, feedback, and preferences. Search queries and other interaction events may be sent to Firebase Analytics and included in diagnostic breadcrumbs.
Diagnostics and Device Information: Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, Installations, Sessions, and Cloud Messaging automatically process information such as an app-instance or installation identifier, app lifecycle and screen events, app and operating-system versions, device model, network state, crash stack traces, and related diagnostics. Firebase Analytics may derive an approximate region from a masked IP address. Firebase Cloud Messaging creates a messaging token; after sign-in, the app may register that token with our service for notifications.
Location Data: If you grant foreground precise-location permission, the app uses your position to rank nearby cities, show your position on the map, calculate distances, and support navigation. Those ranking and distance calculations happen on your device; ItineraryWala does not send your precise device coordinates to its Azure API or store them in your account. Android location and geocoding services and Google Maps may process location to provide the requested feature. Weather is requested for the destination city you select, not from your device coordinates. We do not request background location or use precise location for advertising.

3. Data Storage and Retention
App content and account-related records may be stored in Microsoft Azure, including Azure Cosmos DB. Some preferences and offline content are stored on your device. Firebase services may process analytics, crash, configuration, and messaging data. Network traffic uses HTTPS. We retain personal data only as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse.
4. Third-Party Services
- Google Sign-In: For authentication. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Maps and related services: For maps, navigation, nearby results, and place context.
- Firebase: For analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration, installation and session measurement, and messaging.
- Microsoft Azure: For application hosting, APIs, database storage, and related cloud operations.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data with the service providers listed above only as needed to operate the app, comply with law, protect users, or complete a transaction you request. We may use aggregated or de-identified information for analytics and product improvement.
6. Your Rights
- Access: You can view your profile data in the app.
- Deletion: Delete your account from Profile > Settings > Delete account in the app, or follow our public account-deletion instructions to submit a verified email request.
- Notifications: You can manage notification preferences in the app settings.
- Data Export: Contact us to request a copy of your data.
7. Children's Privacy
Our app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us so we can delete it.
